This privacy policy will be updated with your organization's specific privacy practices. Please consult with legal counsel to ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
We collect information that you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, register for an event, or contact us for support.
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, process your transactions, and communicate with you.
When you use an event map, we may record usage signals such as which places you view and what you search for on the map. Search text is grouped into summarized categories (for example dietary needs or accessibility), and organizers can also see the search phrases themselves with a count of how often each was searched. We do not attach your account to map searches, selections, or filters, even when you are signed in, and we do not sell this data.
We keep map search records, including each phrase as it was typed, indefinitely. There is no deletion schedule: this text is not removed after seven days, it is not removed when the event ends, and records from events that are over remain in our systems. The daily counts we build from it are kept on the same basis. We can remove stored search text on request, but because these records carry no account identifier, we cannot locate one person's searches to remove them on their own.
Organizers see the category summaries by default. The list of individual search phrases is an advanced view, and it is not filtered for personal information, so please do not type anything into map search that you would not want an organizer to read. Where we show example phrases beside a category summary, we include only phrases searched at least five times, and we leave out text that looks like an email address, a phone number, a web address, or a full sentence.
On our own pages (the home page, the demo page and the contact page) we record each visit: which page it was, which of our links you followed to get there, the name of the site that linked you to us, whether you opened the demo video, and whether the contact form went through. Each visit carries a random id that is forgotten when you close the tab, along with your browser family, its language setting, whether the screen is a phone, tablet or computer, and a shortened IP address. If you are signed in, the visit is recorded against your account. We use this to see which parts of the site are useful, and we do not sell it.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information.
